Jibralta is a niche Head Contract builder with a focus on Government and commercial projects below $10M in value. We have an east coast footprint, the ability to provide both design and construction services, and an unparalleled level of commitment to the cause. 

Since early 2025 Jibralta has operated our Veteran Engagement Program to assist veterans transition to careers in the civilian workforce once they have made the decision to do so. We recognise and value the transferable skills and strong cultural contributions that all veterans bring. We enact bespoke recruitment processes, tailored work opportunities and mentored career development to facilitate long term win-win outcomes and we aim to become an employer of choice in this regard. After starting out as a team of two, we quickly developed into a tight knit team of Project Managers, Contract Administrators, Engineers and Site Managers. A consistent book of work has resulted in us investing in Office Support, a HSEQ Manager, a solid vehicle fleet and some small plant. We now cover the east coast of Australia from our main office facility in Mona Vale (NSW) and satellite facilities throughout QLD and NSW.

Adam Rosser, Director of Jibralta, has worked in the construction industry for over 17 years across a broad range of government, commercial and residential projects with a strong focus on the Defence sector. He brings ‘coal face’ expertise to our management team courtesy of his site based experience and building qualifications as well as business and financial acumen via his formal business management degree.

Rod Smyth, Director of Jibralta, has worked in the construction industry for the past 20 years following a 10-year career in the Australian Army. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (Civil), holds RPEQ status, is a Licensed Nominee Supervisor in NSW, QLD and the ACT, and has delivered over 80 projects across the government and commercial sectors with a focus on Defence projects..

Despite the challenges faced with increased scope, interruptions due to COVID-19 and increased military activities on range, Adam and his team excelled in their role of Head Contractor in the D&C contract. The team remained proactive in their notices, worked with the client to create solutions despite budget constraints and always had the end users in mind when delivering the project.
